Since it was founded, HOCOL has grown
exclusively through exploration activities.
The company has the greatest number of
discoveries in the Upper Magdalena
Valley, including the San Francisco Field,
the largest in the area. Thanks to these
successes the Company is the leading operator
in this region.

HOCOL has production operations in Colombia’s
Upper Magdalena Valley and Venezuela’s
Lake Maraicabo. In addition it has non-operated
production in Colombia’s Central Plains
(“Llanos”) region.
